Pauline Michelle is a queer, Chinese Panamanian American poet and teaching artist who grew up between suburban Illinois and Panama City, Panama. Her work, written in both English and Spanish, explores grief, imagines utopia, and swirls in the alchemy of her many (confusing and joyful) identities. She has performed at various venues including Chicago's The Newness and Paper Works and had her work featured in Cabaret Journal, Helicon, and Slant. As a teaching artist, Pauline has facilitated spaces with a variety of ages across the United States, Mexico, and Scandinavia. Pauline was a 2020 fellow at The Heart of It writing retreat. She proudly writes with her brilliant best friend's poetry collective, Luminaries Poetry Workshop. www.paulinemoll.com
Pauline will be hosting this night where folks can bring a poem to work on, or write something new for the first half, and then read in an open mic setting in the cafe.
We are very happy to have the POETRY WORKSHOP funded by a partnership with Savings Bank of Walpole. Any donations that come in will get split between The Community Kitchen and the Nova Programming Fund.
