Nova Comedy featuring Alingon Mitra, John Baglio, & Gilman Seymour

  • Brewbakers 48 Emerald St Keene, NH, 03431 United States (map)

Nova Comedy has been one of our most popular offerings. Our shows are always all ages, but these nights in particular are aimed at a more mature audience, so please keep that mind.

ALINGON MITRA is a stand up comedian known for his tight jokes, original thoughts, and affable presence.

Making his television debut on NBC's Last Comic Standing, Alingon finished first in the public vote 5 weeks in a row to win the comic comeback contest and perform on the finale. He has since been invited to do stand up on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Conan, The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, and Adam Devine's House Party on Comedy Central. In addition, he wrote for The Daily Show with Trevor Noah and Adam Ruins Everything. Alingon went on to be named one of the "New Faces of Comedy" at Montreal's Just for Laughs Comedy Festival. He also won both the Boston Comedy Festival and the "Funniest Comic in New England" contest in the same year. Alingon was a writer for the humor magazine The Harvard Lampoon and can now be found on TikTok, on Instagram, or in bed.

Beginning his career at the tender age of 19, JOHN BAGLIO quickly rose to the top of Boston's gritty comedy scene and has become a mainstay all over the east coast. With his playful attitude and affability, he has the uncanny ability to win over any audience as he weaves his dumb opinions through his personal yet relatable material.

John has had the pleasure of opening for some of the best comedians working today, names like Hannibal Buress, Kyle Kinane, Chad Daniels, Ryan Hamilton, Josh Wolf, Finesse Mitchell, Jim Florentine, and many more. He has also been featured in several comedy festivals across the country, including the Boston Comedy Festival, World Series of Comedy, Rogue Island Comedy Festival, Women in Comedy Festival, Laugh Your Asheville Off Comedy Festival, Cleveland Comedy Festival, Good Luck Fest, and Granite State Comedy Festival. John is a two-time winner of the Wootenany Comedy Festival and finished in second in Laugh Boston’s inaugural Funniest Person in Massachusetts contest.

John can be seen every Wednesday at Night Shift Brewery in Everett at 7PM running a new weekly comedy show. In November 2021, John will be recording his debut to record his debut through You Lucky Dog Productions, which will take place at Blue Ridge Comedy Club in Bristol, TN. He is an above-average karaoke singer.

GILMAN SEYMOUR will also do a set; more info about him coming soon!
