Marisol Zilske seemingly sprung fully formed onto the Nova Arts stage around a year ago, though in constructing her biography, she has been quietly assembling the start of what promises to be a substantive career. Learning guitar from her dad, himself an underground punker from the early nineties, and getting exposed to a litany of resources and inspirations from her uncle Steve Cady (jazz maestro and shaker), Marisol has the pedigree and patience to foster her songs until they find their ways into the hearts of listeners. She is also a champion listener, spinning songs out of jazz band and jams with the high school set, and into heavy slabs that transcend the usual output of younger players.
"26 year-old New Hampshire native Ezra Cohen cut his teeth the past several years touring and recording with melodic punk band Notches. Though his solo output trades distortion and overdrive for acoustic guitar and pedal steel, Cohen’s conviction and knack for hooks remain. Cohen's latest LP "The Sweet Million" is due out April 2022 on Relief Map Records and Dead Broke Rekerds."
Doors are at 7pm, music begins at 8.
