Jordan Holtz is a singer-songwriter working out of Dover, NH. She is the bassist and one of four vocalists in the seacoast slacker rock project Rick Rude, who started playing and touring back in 2013. They have since released 1 EP and 2 LPs, as well as several compilations of basement and home recordings. They are currently in the process of recording a new album, which has sadly been delayed due to COVID. She is also a vocal contributor in local NH band Footings, who have a new album due out May 2021.
Jordan has been playing solo for the last couple of years, wanting an opportunity to showcase the bass as a solo instrument and to be able to write more emotionally based, slow jams. Her voice goes from plaintive and introspective to full on Heart in no time at all, threading soulful narratives and effortless melodies in and out of basslines that feel like an entire band. Her debut EP " Blinders" is due out late winter / early spring 2021 via Pretty Purgatory.
